I really loved this book. It was such a fun read & at times, over the top. The beginning was great - I went from scared to laughing (the reviews) so many times. I heard it wasn't very good, but seriously, it was so much fun. Don't understand it...

Please be in a good head space before reading this. I finished this book a couple days ago and I am still a mess over it. I am a victim of childhood sexual assault/rape & have struggled for decades. I have been hospitalized for suicidal ideation & attempts several times. I read books like this, because I am trying to understand what happened to me.
Everyone is treating this mother as if she is great. She justifies & excuses her son's behavior. She victim blames. She never once tries to understand what his victim's went through & what they will continue to go through. She doesn't truly ever hold her son responsible.
I am still so pissed off at this book. It was well written, but I hate it.

How to rate this??? This was creepy & so disgusting. I have never felt so sick while reading a story before. The author was successful in doing what they set out to do. Imagery - too good. Writing - very good. Ok, I wanted to be shocked & freaked out. I think I can rate it now lol

This was ok, I am curious enough to continue the series. The sexual stuff was like a threat of dark but no true payoff. Interesting choices made.
