I wonder how such an intricate topic can be explained in such a clever, entertaining, fascinating and readable way. Kind of challenging book as well as understandable if you love about history of language, for sure you will never look at it the same way again.
This book also made me think a lot of "Defensa apasionada del idioma español" Alex Grijelmo's book about how Spanish has been "corrupted" from English language and we must defend it from foreign words. Grijelmo should read this book in order to understand that without natural erosion and "corruption" any language could exist.
I totally recommend this book, specially if you are learning a second, third or eleventh language, it helps you understand and be more friendly with the foreign one.
