Forward: Stories of Tomorrow by Blake Crouch

4.0

These were all really great stories. My favorite was The Last Conversation by Paul Tremblay. I loved the way he peppered in hints and references to other sci fi as clues to how the story was going to end. The story was so unsettling and creepy in the most satisfying way. My least favorite was definitely You Have Arrived At Your Destination by Amor Towles. The main character was so unlikeable (not always a bad thing) and selfish that the plot lost all feeling of meaningful impact. **Spoilers** he was completely hands off with the planning of their future kid, put zero thought into what they were doing or the implications and then gets drunk and tries to stumble his was to some sort of moral high ground by listening to the local drunk conspiracy nut. It was kinda a mess with no payoff. The rest of the stories were pretty great
