the longer i sit with the meaning of this comic, the more certain i am that it is a masterpiece full of symbolism, allegory, and commentary. i watched the show first and was so intrigued that i hunted down the graphic novel to try to get answers about the bootstrap paradox. imagine my surprise when i found there was no time travel in the comic, but instead a supernatural messianic figure named frank!
however, the comic was very hard to follow, hence the lower rating. when i finished reading, i scoured the internet for interpretation, and i found reddit posts from r/bodiesonnetflix and blog articles from major spoilers, comics alliance, and games radar that were particularly helpful & insightful. without them, the message and overall coherence of the story would have gone over my head.
