Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert
5.0
As a black girl, the lack of diversity in the most popular books on this site is so normal to me that when I saw this book with a black girl on the cover I became so so so SOOO excited.
Firstly, major props to the author for not making her as stereotypical as possible because it honestly gets annoying to read sometimes. Secondly, I absolutely loved that this was a slow burn and not instalove like a lot of these bw/wm books that I come across. Lastly, the sex scenes were so intimate oh my gosh. I felt like it was inappropriate as hell for me to be looking and reading about it. So obviously they were written really well.
I can honestly say that I am very excited to read [b:Take a Hint, Dani Brown|49976087|Take a Hint, Dani Brown (The Brown Sisters, #2)|Talia Hibbert|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1572990974l/49976087._SX50_SY75_.jpg|72583521] and that is something that doesn’t happen often. Since I usually have a phobia against sequels, prequels and all that follow after. But truly, this book was amazing enough that I would reread it again before the year ends.
(I feel like I’ve just been handing out 5 stars to most of my recent reads but truly if a book doesn’t interest me 25% in, I always stop reading it. Don’t blame me lol)
