It was adorable but also just ok. I can't tell if high school characters are too young and immature for me to read now, or if these characters just weren't great. I just feel like it wasn't all believable and didn't buy that they has no idea the other was into them, and then every time it seemed as the other person might, they just played it off as part of their deal. I mean I get it, it builds suspense but part of me is just like, really? You're letting it go that easily? Come on!
Also. The best friend. She was extremely unlikable and not a friend at all! I'm sorry, but if anyone has a friend like her that just keeps pressuring them to date like that and is so aggressive about it, they need to drop them. She was toxic. Not to mention completely oblivious that her selections sucked and had "no idea why the guys she picked out never worked." Not to mention thinking Sal could possibly be a lesbian and that must explain why she didn't like any of the guy picks. No. Just no. Gtfo. The mom wasn't much better.
