There have been enough recurring themes/disasters/situations to begin annoying me. It’s sort of like that excellent TV show you loved but after say, season 5 it started going downhill because they ran out of new material.

Amelie is supposed to be this cold heart vamp queen, and yet when it comes to Really Big Decisions about Really Bad Villains… she just chills? I don’t love Oliver but sometimes I think he’s set up to do better. Though still hella bipolar.

Shane’s internal monologuing was the worst. What a whiney friggin baby man child. I didn’t think I still disliked him. Maybe because usually he’s just there, maybe because he really was doing better with his vamp views. But this shit is for the birds. I don’t dislike POV swaps at all, but this wasn’t that. The books are written in third person with the obvious focus on Claire and her story. Don’t throw in random POV though swaps.

Myrnin is still perfection. He’s an angel and I love him and would die for him.
