- This one was a little bit of a slog to get through at times. I know it’s because they were resetting after the end of the White Rose trilogy, but eh
- I really, really would have enjoyed this more if the shadowmasters weren’t revealed to be the taken. This felt like some real “somehow the emperor has returned!” level Rise of Skywalker shit. Maybe this is going somewhere interesting and I’ll change my opinion after Book 5.
- Last quarter of the book was nearly impossible to put down, and I love the weird dreamy cliffhanger ending. Seems like Book 5 is Lady’s POV, which I am excited for.
