The Color of Lies by C.J. Lyons

3.0

This book wasn't terrible, it just wasn't great either. I feel that the synesthesia didn't really play into the story well, only to give a sense of betrayal and familial heartbreak towards the end. That just didn't seem like enough. There wasn't much romance, but in the romance that was there, it felt trope-y. Girl meets boy. Girl can't see boy's aura. Boy brings devastating news about the girl's past. Bum bum; they knew each other. Story ends and they are in love now.
All of that negative aside I did like reading this book, it just won't be a reread of listen againa.
