Doctor Who: The Loneliness of the Long-Distance Time Traveller by Joanne Harris
4.0
I have to say the Third and Fourth Doctors have never really been favorites of mine (get over it), but this was written by Joanne Harris, so I figured why not.
And it was the correct thing to figure.
The story has the charm of Harris combined with the endearing and touching strangeness and wit that is Dr. Who. It also reminds one of The Prisoner. It could, and should, be adapted to an episode of the series. Like most Who episodes it combines what we know (and sometimes embrace) with a level of threat and spookiness. I know I will never look at My Little Ponies the same way.
Really powerful and brilliant. Despite the novella length, it is worth far more than the cost on kindle.
