I took my time with this read because I am so sad the Skyland series is over. When I tell you Hendrix’s story lives up to the hype please know it. Somehow Kennedy Ryan continues to tug at my heart strings with story elements so relatable. I’m a Virginia Beach native, my grandmother attended New Hope Baptist church, and her favorite hymn and one sung at her funeral was His Eye is On the Sparrow. Girl! Had to close the book right there lol. Without spoilers I absolutely enjoyed this read and all the ups and downs it showed. While it is a true romance it also lovingly tackled the love of family and other relationship dynamics. I truly wish I could read this again for the first time, 10/10!
