Can't We Talk about Something More Pleasant? by Roz Chast

reflective sad slow-paced

3.75

The early parts of this book were strangely relatable for a situation that I actually had absolutely nothing in common with. Later parts were less relatable, but still compelling.

Partly open and honest, partly bleak and emotionally difficult. Probably worth a read if you're getting close to (or have experience with) the 'taking care of your parents' stage of life, and can handle all the difficult bits that are specific to the situation in the book.
