The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

5.0

I listened to the audiobook last week and man! This book still hits me in the feels SO HARD, after all these years! I remember sitting in my room, going through a really rough time, when I was switching schools and just being able to forget about all of my problems and getting sucked into this story. I stayed up all night reading this in one sitting. I listened to the 10 year anniversary edition and the voice actress was so good, I can't tell you how many times I had to cry throughout. The book is just so well written, I just couldn't stop feeling the pain of all the characters! At the time I reached Rue's death I was a mess, it was just so sad. I'm not one to give 5 out of 5 starts easily, but this book deserves more than that.
