Douglas Florian presents a collection of poems and paintings all about bees. Facts accompany each poem, taking us through the different roles of bees (drones, workers, queen, etc.), bee body parts, what bees do, and more. Not my favorite of his collections, but pair it with Loree Griffin Burns's THE HIVE DETECTIVES or THE BUZZ ON BEES by Shelley Rotner to add some wordplay to a classroom unit on bees.
