The Offering by Kimberly Derting

3.0

That the measure of a true queen didn't lie in her magic. It had more to do with who she was, and what she was willing to give of herself, than it did with the powers she possessed.

This was the final book for the The Pledge Trilogy and it did a nice job of tying up all loose ends. Charlie still drove me crazy with her inability to trust Max. It was as if she learned nothing from her previous disasters. Overall, none of the followup books matched the uniqueness of the first.
