Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt

emotional medium-paced

5.0

Throughout reading this, I caught myself skimming pages to rush ahead and had to turn back and make sure to slow down to absorb everything. As excited as I was to find out what was going to happen and whether my guesses were correct, I also didn’t want to miss a thing and didn’t want it to end.

The story came together wonderfully, and I had a great time watching (reading?) it unfold. Whether I was cringing at Cameron’s internal monologue, shaking my fist in exasperation at the miscommunications, shedding tears at the “sad parts” (to avoid saying spoilers) (I cried! The ending was everything to me and all I hoped for! I thought Tova was a super neat little old lady and loved her character
