I want to love this series so much more than I currently am... Not quite sure why these books aren't quite clicking with me, but I'm finding it hard to relate to the characters and perhaps I'm just burnt out on the whole vampire/immortality gig.
Charlie is a refreshing heroine, she's a former alcoholic, a once singer trying to clean up her life before finding herself targeted by Vampires trying to get to her sister. Throw in a confusing storyline about a Cowboy Guardian Angel, demons and plots to take over the world (and a prophecy) and it all becomes a bit too much!
One plus is the introduction of Jake who just seems purely adorakable.
