Lumberjanes, Vol. 12: Jackalope Springs Eternal by Kat Leyh, Shannon Watters

3.0

This issues was a lot like On A Roll but much better. There's not much character development or strong moments, it's just a wacky adventure. However the art is much better than that volume and it is way more enjoyable. It's kinda just a fun little adventure, nothing more. Little to no crazy mysteries or worldbuilding. The intro is pretty strong, but kinda sacrifices any further development to focus on the "monster of the week". Like On a Roll this volume feels kinda out of place worlbuilding for some reason. It was cute to see the new character who had a little group of the camps creatures. But it feels super out of place, because nothing about the her fantasy element is really explained. Why was she there? And the resolution of that arc kinda comes out of no where and ends kinda abruptly. The last chapter is really good though. It's a Zodiac based one and is way better in almost every way and is more grounded.
