Fun - but perhaps a little too much in the style of a Raymond Chandler hard-boiled private detective novel. The patter was sometimes a bit forced and the romance with the beautiful blonde was totally unbelievable.
However, the historical detail was excellent, the mystery was good - and with a twist that I didn’t see coming - and the whole story made for an entertaining read, which didn’t take itself too seriously. Would be happy to read more.
