After meeting the beautiful Cleopatra and her oh so pretty nose last time, we are back in the gaulish village, with all its absurdity. The Romans are back with a new plan. Challenge the village chief Vitalstatistix to a duel with the rival chief Cassius ceramix, a strong brute who is a Roman loyalist.

The duel would be a cinch if it weren't for one small detail. An overenthusiastic Obelix has left our wise Getafix with a case of 'menhir to the head' and he's gone cooky and forgotten how to brew the magic potion of invincibility. I mean you have to be crazy if you find my man Cacophanix's music tolerable.

Without the protection granted by the potion how will the Gauls stand up against the awesome might of the Romans. Find out in this chapter of As-Te-Rix!

I like this chapter because we are shown how Asterix is able to use his characteristic wits when he s deprived of the super strength from the potion. He trains the chief, stalls things, leads the romans around by the nose, until a solution can be reached.

And what can I say about the romans. They are quickly proving to be one of my favorite band of bumbling babbling buffoons, with a bag fun of puns.

Perhaps making up for last chapter, this time around we have a whole littany of hilarious names to laugh at:
Nebulus nimbus
Felonius Caucus
Cassius ceramix
Informopurpus
Psychoanalytix
Bicarbonatofsoda
