Dengeki Daisy, Volume 9 by Kyousuke Motomi

5.0

<3333333333 I adore everything about this series, it's one of my favourite currently running shoujo. Many of the reviews here mention this volume would work as an ending for the series, I disagree. Not that it wouldn't work! It certainly could. But I'm really enjoying getting to read about Teru and Kurosaki dealing with the changes in their relationship. So many series use the leads getting together as an end point for the story and pfft to that. There's so much emotional ground to tread after all the feelings are out in the open!

On top of being excellent and completely satisfying on the Teru/Kurosaki relationship front this volume is hilarious. :D There wasn't much humour in volume 8—which is fine, when you write that good a backstory no one gets to critique you for being less funny than usual—but this volume is a return to form. Also Teru is my hero, I can't get over how kind and emotionally intelligent and brave she is. Kyousuke Motomi, was this all a plot to get me to decide to buy my own copies of this series at Anime North this year? Because congratulations, you've succeeded. 5 stars
