Erasing Death: The Science That Is Rewriting the Boundaries Between Life and Death by Josh Young, Sam Parnia
Did not finish book. Stopped at 10%.
this book seems fascinating! this concept is so interesting it almost feel like science fiction, but it's actual medical advancements, and that is the coolest possible thing you can say about anything (at least in my book). however every single paragraph is just the same sentence restated in a new way. the first chapter is an amazing anecdote of a man who had been revived several hours after his heart had stopped beating. the next 20 pages were basically reexplaining in synonyms that "death isn't a hard fast line, it's when all cell function dies"! its cool the first time but by the 5th paragraph my eyes were glazing over. I skipped a chapter to see if it would move on and it fucking DIDNT. can't finish this shit rn omg. pmo.
