Abelard by Régis Hautière, Joe Johnson, Renaud Dillies

This started as a cloyingly sweet, overly saccharine story and ended dark, depressing, and soul-crushing. If you were to tell me the creator went through a divorce midway through, I wouldn't be surprised. I'm not even sure how I feel or how I'm supposed to feel, and I can't decide if that's a good thing or not. The art is gorgeous though, so it's at least worth your time taking a look.
