Okay, this was a slow start for sure, but Hobb clearly knows what she’s doing! I love her attention to detail and long characterizations. It really picked up 3/4 of the way through and I’m excited to see where the rest takes me. I can already see how other fantasy writers have taken notes - the Skill and the Wit are so interesting.
