A Pocket Full of Rye by Agatha Christie

4.0

I am not really a Miss Marple fan because I don’t find her intellectually stimulating enough (I haven’t read much of her “series” to make a clear opinion about her character and my opinions are based on what I have read). I do enjoy reading Agatha Christie’s other books that include other investigators (Poirot included, without a doubt).

However I did enjoy this book, mainly because Miss Marple is introduced quite late in this book. Also I found the theme used (other than the obvious theme of murder and deceit), that of a nursery rhyme interesting. All in all it was pleasantly thrilling.
