This book acts almost as a mini sequel to the Serpent’s Shadow, leaving the issues with
the ghost Setne
in a better place. It is written in an interesting format, but since you are likely to read the Kane Chronicles trilogy before reading this, some of the information feels a bit repetitive. It is an interesting book that provides a heavier focus on Egyptian mythological trivia, but it can’t stand too well on its own.
