Salome by Oscar Wilde

What the actual hell was that?! So bloody confusing. One minute Herod says it’s the happiest night of his life, the next he says it’s his saddest. So much death that just really seemed unnecessary. I do not understand the plot of this play. However, Wilde is as always a very witty writer even when he writes in French (and it’s translated).
