Drums of Autumn by Diana Gabaldon

5.0

From my understanding, the series was initially planned to be a trilogy. Starting the fourth book, I noticed that the story didn’t feel as “tightly woven” as the first three. However, the historical research and characterization were still stellar. I’m fascinated and invested in the characters and eager to know what happens to them, and understand these time-portal stones better, so I shall continue reading.
