Cyd Charisse is back. She and Shrimp are done--he's in New Zealand surfing, she's in Manhattan not going to culinary school and working as a barista on the DL. After breaking her leg in search of the perfect cup of NY brew, CC really decides to live it up in NYC. There are boys and girls, family issues, and, of course, the Shrimp problem. Even without Shrimp, NY seems to be pretty cool--and then he shows up! It really must be true love.
The third in the CC series is not as good as the previous versions. It seems that Cohn was trying a little too hard and overdid the hipster talk. I still liked to see what CC is doing, but it didn't hold my attention as well as the other books.
