Manuscript for Murder by Jessica Fletcher, Jon Land

2.0

Definitely not the Jessica Fletcher I remember. In this book, which takes place in modern day, Jessica would be almost 90 years old, and here, she's hiking for many miles up a mountain, getting man-handled without any post-trauma, and getting an exploding door to the face and blown off a front porch. There is a HUGE body count in this book, and she's trying to get ahead of it. It really felt like an action thriller more than a whodunit mystery. While the story was entertaining, my feelings is that it is so out of place for the character that it was hard to really like it. Overall, the book was just okay.
