No One Knows by J.T. Ellison

Long review, but no spoilers that aren't given in the books description.

Before I even read this book for book club, my pastors wife (who runs the book club), said to me "i know what you like in a book. I think you will love the suspense but hate the book."

She was spot on.

Good suspense. But i hated all the characters. All of them. The ending wasnt predictable, but it wasnt like Gone Girl shocking either.

Random rant: Basically Gone Girl ruined all other husband wife suspense mystery disappearing books. Like this one. If i had read this prior to Gone Girl, maybe I would have liked it. But this book was too copy cat and it failed.

Aubrey's childhood sweetheart never shows up to his best friends bachelor party. Five years later, without a trace of where he went, Tennessee declares him legally dead. Then all these strange men start popping into Aubrey's life.

Let me make a list of characters i hate: Aubrey, Daisy, Josh, Chase, Meghan

Let me make a list of characters i like: Tom

The book is called "No One Knows" and the description says Aubrey has dark secrets. So the whole time I am reading this book i don't really believe her.
Daisy is Professor Umbridges sister.
Josh, there always seemed something fishy about him when the book repeatedly says "Josh was the perfect husband since we were kids"
Chase's purpose was obviously written on who he was and the connection he has to Aubrey and Josh is quite obvious and unrealistic.
And Meghan is the character writers like to write into a story, trying to make her into a person everyone wishes they were. The cool girl who everyone loves that always knows the best thing to say and do. I hate those characters.

I like Tom, how he probably only stayed married to Daisy to protect Josh and Aubrey.
