This was unexpectedly a really good read. Ive been wanting to read it since before it was released, im not sure why or even how i found it.
I say unexpectedly because I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this at the start, but as the story progressed, I felt more and more connected to it.

Kit is such a complex character, and at first, you question why she goes about her life the way she does. But as we read about her relationships growing up (more specifically her sister and mother), and about her childhood, her actions and behaviours as an adult begin to make sense. This book is a perfect example of how our experiences shape how we see the world and other people.

This read was a little slow at times but the plot was somehow still always engaging. I think what made it a little dull was the simplicity of it, and how real it was. It was just a small blip in someone’s life. Kit is not meant to be a perfect character, and that’s what I loved most about the story. The last chapter really got me
