I thought I was getting a fun beach read with a FMC who needs adventure and gets it by getting into a handsome stranger's pants and it was just a fun time bone zone on the beach type situation.

But nope. This was freaking SAD. I was an absolute sobbing MESS. If you liked Firefly Lane or In Five Years (which I did) then you will absolutely love this.

While it is super sad, it is also a really great story about finding yourself and living your life to the best of your abilities. It's the epitome of life is too short, so do the damn thing. Watching Marin's development was pretty inspiring, especially for someone (like me) who is usually pretty careful and doesn't like to take risks.

The love interest, Lucas, was so gentle and...perfect. He's the perfect man. Every character felt like a warm hug and a safe place.

This book was beautiful and I'm really glad I ended up reading it, even if it wasn't what I thought it was going to be.
