The Furry Trap by Josh Simmons

4.0

Stomach turner, hit me in places too few stories can. It's good, because it doesn't feel senseless, but perfectly unsettling. I think the first story is this collection's true darling, but there's some good in here.

I have no idea what I just read otherwise. Some of it is frankly confusing, or maybe I just don't read comics well.

Well, anyways. The baby rapist story (yeah, you read it right), it hits me how the guy refused to fight all the way to the last panel. It's not gratuitous, all the violence is implied, off-screen, and not depicted. And Bonecock. It's a totally insane situation and he doesn't leave it. He tells himself he's getting pleasure when he's used, yet he tries to dismember himself/escape. And the first story, beginning innocently, but is entirely over the top takes a dark turn. It feels like the most clever, the easiest to "read."

So many of these stories end abruptly.

Also, warning, there's so much dick.

Because dicks are horrific.

Anyways, I'll have to think on this stuff later because Sherlock is on and Boyfriend is getting antsy.
