The millions of years evocation rears its ugly head here.
That aside, this read was at times monotonous and at times revelatory. There were few instances where attention was captivated but otherwise it felt repetitious. I thoroughly enjoyed that this read allowed me to escape to a moment of visceral awareness and long for the forest and its native inhabitants. What a joy to have God's creation so present in our lives at least through a book!
