Leaf Storm: And Other Stories by Gabriel García Márquez

3.0

The novella that dominates this collection lacks a certain cathartic element desperately needed to rectify the conflict presented. Multiple narrators complicate the tale, making this work strangely unfamiliar in Marquez's typical terrain. Yet the short stories, namely "The Handsomest Drowned Man in the World," fill the reader with the mysterious sense of what it is to be human.
