Being a big fan of Priscilla's Keys to Love series, I was surprised at how I was not able to be engrossed in this story. I really enjoyed the cultural aspect in this book and I loved the concept of the marachi battle, but I needed more from the characters' developing relationship. I also felt things were overexplained and a lot of competing situations happening all at once that resulted in my losing focus. However, I will be reading the next book in the series to see if West Side Love Story was just one of those that needed a bit of wrinkles ironed out first.
