impressive that this book was written by a teenager. some parts did hit hard, but overall the topics weren't handled as well as they could have been. miriam's existential thoughts about the meaning of life felt shallow and repetitive, to the point where i had to skip entire paragraphs because of the same thing being said over and over again. i'm glad it showed how different people cope with loss, i just wish i would've gotten more out of it. the writing style was pretty mediocre, bland and some parts felt a bit tryhard-y. not bad, but not good either.
