Black Rabbit Summer by Kevin Brooks

Very good. This explores the twisted relationships among a group of people growing apart. The plot is well-crafted. Everything makes sense at the end, and people's actions throughout are consistent. Really, there was only one thing at the end that was odd - Raymond doesn't actually factor into what happened at all. Not as a bystander, not as an accomplice, not as a victim, not as anything. While I understand that this is probably meant to be realistic - in life, you don't get all the answers - it's also very aggravating. I feel a bit like I was led on.
