The Subprimes: A Novel by Karl Taro Greenfeld

4.0

I’m not quite sure what to think of this book! For the most part I liked it, and enjoyed the author’s kind of comical exaggerations of what might happen in the future. This might be called an “Almost The End Of The World As We Know It” book, where a low FICO credit score has severe consequences, the least of which is being classified as “subprime”. The more I read this book, the more I liked it. And, it is absolutely the first novel I’ve ever read that included Bob Dylan’s lesser known and almost never sung three verses to “This Land Is Your Land”. That’ll make any old folk singer happy. I gave it four stars for originality alone.
