Lois Lane: A Celebration of 75 Years by Frank Quitely, Grant Morrison, Al Plastino, Whitney Ellsworth, John Byrne, Joe Shuster, Greg Rucka, Phil Jimenez, Jerry Siegel

While Lois Lane is my favorite literary character, this retrospective makes it clear for just how long she was written by men. In particular during the 1950s, when comics was arguably at its lowest, characters like Lois we're subjected to stories like "would Superman still love me if I was fat?"

Much better was her with the beginning of John Byrne's Man of Steel, where she became more of the reporter and wasn't defined only by her relationship to Superman/Clark Kent.

Ultimately though, this is a great collection of stories covering 75 years of Lois Lane
