I liked this one. I didnt love it as much as the first and I don't want to compare it too harshly, but naturally comparison does happen with prequels. Viv is still loveable and a great, solid character, the rest of the cast were likeable but not my favourites, a couple were insufferable in my opinion. The story was still very cosy and easy to read, but the overall vibe of the book wasn't the same as the first, it didn't have the same charm. The setting didn't feel as atmospheric unfortunately. It was a good book, it wasn't great or terrible, it was just good and I did enjoy it. Hopefully this doesn't sound too harsh!
