Interesting concept, but it was lost in pretentious writing, rambling tangents and way too many brackets. The main character’s name is Declan Gunn, an anagram of the author’s name which told me everything I needed to know right away.
Did I read the whole thing even though it was crap? Yes. Why? Because I thought, like a shithead boyfriend, that if I persisted maybe he would come through for me eventually. He didn’t.
