After I Do by Taylor Jenkins Reid

5.0

I cried man! - beginning to think I’m just overly emotional because I’m ill. Then again I love love! & that’s what this book is allll about.

Lauren and Ryan have been married a long time, gradually they realise their marriage isn’t working but they’ve been just chugging along and ignoring what’s staring them in the face.

They both agree to a years trial separation, hoping it’ll rekindle what they’ve lost - the rules? No contact for one year.

They both find it hard - at different paces. Lauren thought her world had ended when Ryan left, but she goes through a spell of doubt, maybe she doesn’t need him?. Ryan also struggles but “explores” other options faster before eventually realising it was Lauren all along. Life has a funny way of working out.

If you are a sucker for a love story, read this. Honestly it’s perfection.
