The Daemon's Curse by Dan Abnett, Mike Lee

3.0

On the one hand, it's classic Dan Abnett, so it's cinematic, gruesome, thrilling, excellent adventure.

On the other hand, Malus (and the whole Dark Elf society in this book) are such a bunch of unlikely characters it's hard to find someone to root for.

They casually murder/torture anyone they feel like it, and while this is (I suppose) in keeping with the theme, to me it alienates me from them and their struggles.
