This was an adorable and light Yaoi manga that had a really interesting world, but not much depth beyond it. Yagi is a goat who likes to eat books and can taste the stories inside and the feelings of the authors. Ookami is his Wolf manager at the bookstore. A hidden backstory and love ensues between an adorable herbivore and a gruff but sweet carnivore.
You’ll get what you want from a yaoi, a cute story with some steamy times, but there’s not much to make you really connect to or route for the characters. Which is unfortunate, because the author created a really interesting world with separated but co-existing herbivores and carnivores - almost like Beastar vibes, but it didn’t end up going anywhere.
Short, sweet, Yagi the Bookshop Goat is not a fave, but I still had a good time.
