Henry VI Part I by William Shakespeare

3.0

i'm sorry shakespeare but really really boring.... considering he's so renowned for his multi-faceted, piercing examinations of humanity, literally all the characters in this play, even Henry VI or Joan, were sooooo one-dimensional. all we get are squabbles and factionalism, but not presented with any depth or nuance..... sigh. i noticed so many interesting elements like hypocrisy of the Church/religion, dying breed of chivalry and yet it just wasn't executed well. i really hated this play, sorry.
