Six Sacred Swords by Andrew Rowe

4.0

I love this series and found this book to be super fun. It's much more lighthearted than Arcane Ascension but is still very heartfelt.
My favorite part was the characters; I fell in love with Rei and Dawn and their dynamic with Keras is adorable and wholesome. Keras has big himbo energy. He's a fun contrast to Corin, who is relatively weak but creative and intelligent. Keras will just throw his big muscles into his problems and just skips the puzzle aspects which I found charming and hilarious. He's also a respectful king with fantastic morals.
I think I made a mistake reading this before WoBM because there are references to many characters I've never heard of. The plot is still accessible but I feel like I missed out on that cameo excitement that I always enjoy. I'm not sure if I should read Arcane Ascension #3, War of Broken Mirrors #1, or Weapons and Wielders #2 next; if anyone has opinions I would love to hear suggestions!
