Questland by Carrie Vaughn

3.0

I was primed to enjoy this, but I ended up underwhelmed. Questland delivered on the fun concept and had pretty decent characters (I liked Addie a lot more than I thought I would, actually; her relatability felt authentic instead of built on tropes), but the plot was a bit boring and predictable. I think this may have worked better either as a shorter novella where the worldbuilding was the star, or as a longer novel with a more complicated plot.
