Angel & Faith: Death and Consequences by Rebekah Isaacs, Christos Gage, Joss Whedon

4.0

Nothing new here, but there really doesn't have to be cause Faith and Angel are amazing! They are still on the quest to piece Giles back together, which I'm still not sure about judging from all the prior resurrection attempts in the Angel and Buffy universe.
Faith is still battling her past and struggling to be the slayer everyone wants her to be; she's there for Angel and for her girls, but that's not so easy a job. I really grew to enjoy Nadria in this, in the past she was just torn up and totally reckless, but by the end of this volume I've become super excited to see more from her. Nadria is kinda this fresh character that has a lot of the past slayer baggage we have dealt with from Faith.
Angel is still brooding and guilt ridden. He is trying to make amends. Again. He has no thought to the risk he puts himself through even though he knows those around him are going to try stopping him. Typical Angel, but you have to respect him for it- besides I kinda do want Giles back.
Speaking of Giles...past Giles is amazing! You should read this just to see what he was like back then. Also Eyghon! I love that we went all the way back to Buffy season 2 for that! I'm a giant fan of the show (it's why I read these) and I really live for moments where I can be like o whoa I remember that!
Spike (cough cough Blondie Bear, really?) comes back in the picture which is always very much appreciated. The Angel and Spike dynamic is a fave of mine I do hope this doesn't change.
So yes amazing read! Totally for the fans, full of references from the past and progression toward the current story, can't wait to get my hands on what happens next!
